WHAT IS QI GONG?
QI Energy - Life force that flows through and around all living things.

GONG Practice/skill

QI GONG are ancient Taoist exercises designed to improve all internal functions of the body, increase the energy level and prevent diseases.

Qi is the vital energy that flows and circulates within all living things, including the body. Its character is made of AIR, which we call Heaven Chi, for air is breath and without breath there is no life. The other character is RICE which we call Earth Chi, for rice is food that comes from the Earth and nourishes the body. So when we talk about Chi , we talk about all the energies between Heaven and Earth, which help us create and sustain the physical body.

GONG is practice or skill. The character Gong is made of WORK which we translate as practice. The other character is STRENGTH which is developed through practice. So Gong means a strong work which when applied to a particular system becomes a skill. You all have heard of Kung-Fu, the movie and the martial art. We can say that when a person has developed a strong skill through practice, he or she has Kung Fu.
